Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
These terms cover your use of Spicer OS. By creating an account you agree to them. They're written to be readable rather than impressive.
Your account
You need an account to use Spicer OS, and you must be at least 13 years old. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
One account is for one person. Don't share logins or resell access.
Plans and payment
Spicer OS has one plan, billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe after a seven-day free trial. The price is shown before you pay.
Cancel any time from Settings → Account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then stops. We don't automatically refund partial months, but if something went wrong on our side, get in touch — we'd rather sort it out than argue.
If a payment fails we may suspend paid features until it's resolved. We'll give notice before changing prices.
AI features and their limits
Alfred is an AI assistant. It can be confidently wrong. Do not treat its output as financial, legal, medical, or professional advice, and check anything that matters before acting on it.
Alfred can take actions inside your account — logging entries, updating tasks, categorising transactions. Actions are recorded and reversible, and anything that would send or publish something on your behalf waits for your approval. Alfred cannot move money.
Paid plans include a number of AI messages run on our provider account. Past that, you supply your own API key and pay your provider directly.
Acceptable use
Don't use Spicer OS to:
- break the law, or help someone else do so
- attack, probe, or overload the service or its infrastructure
- reach another user's data, or try to
- scrape or resell the service, or abuse the AI features to generate harmful content
We may suspend accounts that do these things.
Your content
What you put into Spicer OS stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store it, display it back to you, and process it to provide the service — including sending relevant parts to an AI provider when you use Alfred. We don't use your content to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Availability
We aim to keep Spicer OS running but can't promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and third-party dependencies can fail. Keep your own copies of anything critical — Settings → Account exports everything at any time.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account whenever you like from Settings → Account. Deletion is permanent and cancels any active subscription. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, and we'll explain why where we can.
Liability
Spicer OS is provided "as is," without warranties. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms materially, we'll let account holders know by email. Continuing to use Spicer OS after that means you accept the new version. Questions go to the support page.
